Hapkido has a small number of moves that combine into a wide-array of techniques. The true art of Hapkido is the simplicity of the moves. They allow causality (cause and effect) to occur while defending, that is, cause and effect. In this way, your opponent "tells" you how to defeat them. One must only learn how to flow with their opponent in order to tap into their own true strength. Action causes reaction, and a proper reaction exploits the action.
